Forty Sacred Hadith Qudsi – Hadith 14

Hadith 14 Abu Dharr reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:

يَقُولُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مَنْ جَاءَ بِالْحَسَنَةِ فَلَهُ عَشْرُ أَمْثَالِهَا وَأَزِيدُ وَمَنْ جَاءَ بِالسَّيِّئَةِ فَجَزَاؤُهُ سَيِّئَةٌ مِثْلُهَا أَوْ أَغْفِرُ وَمَنْ تَقَرَّبَ مِنِّي شِبْرًا تَقَرَّبْتُ مِنْهُ ذِرَاعًا وَمَنْ تَقَرَّبَ مِنِّي ذِرَاعًا تَقَرَّبْتُ مِنْهُ بَاعًا وَمَنْ أَتَانِي يَمْشِي أَتَيْتُهُ هَرْوَلَةً وَمَنْ لَقِيَنِي بِقُرَابِ الْأَرْضِ خَطِيئَةً لَا يُشْرِكُ بِي شَيْئًا لَقِيتُهُ بِمِثْلِهَا مَغْفِرَةً

Allah Almighty says: Whoever comes with a good deed will have the reward of ten like it and even more. Whoever comes with an evil deed will be recompensed for one evil deed like it or he will be forgiven. Whoever draws close to Me by the length of a hand, I will draw close to him by the length of an arm. Whoever draws close to Me the by length of an arm, I will draw close to him by the length of a fathom. Whoever comes to Me walking, I will come to him running. Whoever meets Me with enough sins to fill the earth, not associating any partners with Me, I will meet him with as much forgiveness. Source: Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2687, Grade: Sahih

[EN] Allah, Mighty and Majestic, says: 'Whoever comes with a good deed will have ten times its like, and I increase; and whoever comes with an evil deed, his reward is an evil deed like it, or I forgive; and whoever draws near to Me a hand span, I draw near to him an arm's length; and whoever draws near to Me an arm's length, I draw near to him a fathom's length; and whoever comes to Me walking, I come to him running; and whoever meets Me with the fill of the earth in sins, not associating anything with Me, I meet him with the like of it in forgiveness.'

[BS] Allah, Moćan i Veličanstven, kaže: 'Onaj koji dođe sa dobrim delom imaće deset puta njemu slično, i više; i onaj koji dođe sa lošim delom, njegova nagrada je loše delo nalik na to, ili opraštam; i onaj koji se približi meni za dužinu šake, ja se približim njemu za dužinu laktova; i onaj koji se približi meni za dužinu laktova, ja se približim njemu za dužinu hvata; i onaj koji dođe meni hodeći, ja dolazim njemu trčeći; i onaj koji se sretne sa mnom sa ispunjenošću zemlje grehova, ne udruživanjem nečega sa mnom, sretnem ga sa sličnom opraštanjem.'
